A leading national law firm is seeking a Trademark Operations Manager to lead the administrative and operational functions of its Trademark practice. This hybrid role can be based in any of the firm’s U.S. offices, including Silicon Valley, San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, Washington, DC, Boston, and Seattle.

The Manager will lead and develop the firm’s Trademark Paralegals, overseeing performance management, workflow planning, billable targets, and productivity metrics, as well as onboarding and training. The role also directly manages the Trademark Transfer Specialist and Trademark Practice Assistants and maintains procedural manuals and workflow documentation. Day-to-day, the Manager will optimize trademark workflows, rebalance workloads to meet deadlines, and find and fix operational bottlenecks. Serving as a key liaison between attorneys, paralegals, and practice leadership, the Manager will track developments in trademark law and USPTO practice, put needed changes in place, and advise leadership on staffing and capacity planning. Quarterly travel to firm offices is required.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years of trademark prosecution operations experience, including 3–4 years in a leadership role. Strong knowledge of U.S. and foreign trademark prosecution and docketing systems, proven people-management skills, and openness to AI and new tools are expected. The anticipated base salary range is $115,000–$172,750, plus a discretionary bonus.
